Nearly 2.8 millions died each year because of obesity related
problems. Even the strong and rich countries like United States and Countries
in Europe are having difficulty fighting obesity. What ever solutions they
proposed, they always end up not solving the problem with obesity. The frightening
scenario of obesity is that the of obese people rise up and nearly tripled, reaching
2.1 billion from 875 millions in just a matter of 33 years. The study was made
from 1980 to 2013.
The solution could be solved back from the day that we were
on our mother’s womb. A pregnant mother should limit and carefully chooses what
she eats. There are many studies that show that obesity is somehow related to
what your mother ate when you’re still at her womb. If your mother commonly ate
at fastfood chains, then there is a tendency that you may have
hard time resisting junk, fatty, and rich in sugar foods.
There are many serious diseases that are associated with
obesity including high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, cardio vascular
disease, and some type of cancer.
Exercise and taking diet pills are the most common type of
losing weight. Exercise is a slow method of losing weight while taking diet
pills is the shortcut way of losing weight. Although exercise is a slow method,
you can assure that you’ll not deal with extra loose skin after you lose
weight.
But what about if you are obese? Diet and Exercise might be
not enough, weight loss surgery might be
your best and most effective method. There is also a new method of losing
weight which is called Bariatric surgery.
Bariatric surgery involves 3 phase:
Gastric Banding – this phase reduces the amount of food
needed on individual to feel full.
Gastric By Pass – this involves digesting system pass to
stomach.
Sleeve Gastrectomy – this phase involves removing of certain
portion of stomach
Although Bariatric Surgery is expensive, costing about
$25,000, there are lots of evidences that shows that the patients who undergo
Bariatric Surger have 3 times more likely to show improvements in signs of
metabolic syndrome.
